The new global challenges, the pandemic, the isolation we have experienced, have weighed significantly on the community of adults and the elderly in rural areas. It is no longer possible to face global challenges with local points of view. A change of methods or in any case a certain degree of training and preparation of the staff dealing with adult learning at a non-formal level, is necessary.
In addition, the further challenge regards the foreigner’s minority present in our local community such as the Albanian community. The idea is to give them the opportunity to create in Albania what they have experienced in Italy at in AUSER ODV. This would create a virtuous exchange between our communities with long-term benefits on both sides. We are also aware that our staff can no longer ignore digital knowledge and non-formal learning. Structured aggregation experiences are essential to promote quality learning.
- to create an organization of adult volunteers in Albania, based on the competences of AUSER ODV of Molfetta. This is also an output of the project.
- to equip the staff with specific skills in adult education. The project not only aims at improving the skills of the staff, but also to disseminate such skills in Italy and abroad.
- capacity building in rural area. Auser works in an area with important social and economic obstacles. The project will contribute to improve the life conditions of the target groups.
- lifelong learning process. Our staff is made of adult volunteers who have never attended structured events, courses or adult training experience. This project is certainly the starting point
