PROGRAMME: Cyber Skills |
Summary:
The project’s concrete goals are to equip adult trainers with the skills they’ll need to help their students (especially those from underprivileged social groups, such as the unemployed and young women) hone their digital skills, get more people interested in their brand, and find work in today’s increasingly digital world, while also ensuring that their students stay safe online.
Digital skills drive business productivity. So, it is in everyone’s best interest to have as many people as possible with these skills. “Digital Transformation” is one of the main priorities set by the European Union, and we believe that the project applies to this EU priority.
Furthermore, addiction to social media and negative behaviors online are also two very widespread situations of today, “careless Internet habits have left others exposed to scams, identity theft and physical harm at the hands of people they met online. With more users accessing the Internet through mobile devices, these risks are changing and growing quickly.”
This is why project Cyber Skills aims to provide adult teachers with the tools necessary to prepare their students against these situations. This is doubly true for people from marginalized groups, who oftentimes have a difficult time finding a place where they are accepted, especially online where people are often more vitriolic. This action is in line with the “inclusion and diversity” priority that the European Union has declared as a top priority.
