ACRONYM: DigiAddictions

PROJECT NUMBER: 2023-3-DE04-KA210-YOU-000170538

DURATION: 01/04/2024 – 31/03/2025

Summary:

The majority of today’s youth have grown up with Digital Devices, and as such, they utilize their digital competencies in both their academic and everyday lives, making them an integral part of their lives. In addition, digital skills are an indispensable asset in the modern labor market since they enable individuals to navigate into the complex world of employment.

DigiAddictions was developed in alignment with the DigiComp framework with the dual purpose of promoting the development of digital competencies and raising the awareness regarding the dangers associated with misuse of digital technology and the addictions that come with it.

Objectives

The objectives of the project are to:

  • Enhance youth workers’ capacity to prevent technological misuse among the youth, as well as improve knowledge of digital competencies and their importance in entering the job market.
  • Increase understanding of digital addictions and their impact on the daily lives of youths.
  • Increase international cooperation between 3 different organizations in Europe working in the field of digital skills, digital addictions and youths’ resilience

Target groups

Direct target group: Youth, particularly those at technological risk due to a lack of awareness, and those entering the job market seeking to enhance their digital skills.

Indirect target group: Youth Centres, associations working with Youth to share best practices in youth at digital risk, career counselling and their work with NEET (Not in Education, Employment and Training).

Results
