About the Project
This Erasmus+ project focuses on equipping adult education centres with the tools, strategies, and digital competencies necessary to meet the needs of 21st-century learners. It aims to modernize the adult education system by supporting institutions and trainers in adapting their governance models, educational offerings, and technological integration, while also promoting a stronger European identity among adult learners. Through tailored support and innovation, the project addresses real challenges faced by adult education providers across Europe, especially in vulnerable and underrepresented communities.
Project Objectives
The aim of the project is to adapt adult education to the needs of 21st century adults by equipping adult educational centers and adult trainers with different tools, updating the training offer of adult education, adapting it to current needs and equipping educational centers and adults with digital competences, as well as promoting European sentiment through the participation of adults in European programs and the dissemination of these projects in this age group.
Target group
- Principals, teachers, and educational staff working in adult education, who are committed to adapting their institutions to 21st-century standards.
- Adults aged 50–75, particularly those from vulnerable backgrounds who have missed opportunities to develop essential digital skills.
Results
- Training Guide & Assessment Tool: A practical resource for adult education centres to evaluate and reshape their training strategies in response to emerging trends.
- Institutional Action Plan: A strategic roadmap to help organizations modernize their governance and better serve communities, especially those at risk of depopulation.
- Digital Skills Training: Implementation of targeted digital upskilling actions to enhance the quality of life and employment prospects for adult learners.
