GENERAL INFORMATION
TITLE: Enhancing Adults’ Digital Skills through Digital Narratives
ACRONYM: Golden Memories
PROJECT NUMBER: 2025-1-ES01-KA220-ADU-000354042
DURATION: 01.12.2025 – 30.11.2027

About the Project
Europe is undergoing a profound demographic change, with the ageing population growing rapidly and seniors facing increased risks of digital and social exclusion. While younger generations navigate digital tools with ease, only a fraction of older adults possess even basic digital skills, leaving many disconnected from services, opportunities, and social participation.
The Golden Memories Erasmus+ project tackles this challenge by empowering seniors through podcast creation. Using this creative and practical tool, older adults will not only learn to handle smartphones, recording, and editing software, but also gain the confidence to engage with digital platforms in daily life. Their personal stories, memories, and cultural traditions will be preserved and shared, bridging the gap between generations.
By combining digital empowerment with oral history preservation, Golden Memories helps seniors remain independent, socially connected, and valued as custodians of memory. In doing so, it promotes inclusion, intergenerational solidarity, and a stronger, more cohesive European society.
Project Objectives
- Provide adult trainers with tools and methods to help seniors acquire essential digital skills for greater independence and social participation.
- Preserve seniors’ voices and life stories through podcasts, fostering intergenerational dialogue and cultural appreciation.
- Create a methodological guide that enables organisations to replicate and adapt the Golden Memories model in diverse contexts.
Target Groups
- Adult Educators and Trainers will provide guidance, mentoring, and hands-on support to seniors, helping bridge the digital divide through activities like podcast creation.
